Date of Defense 2011-03-11 Availability unrestricted Abstract Novel ion mobility-mass spectrometry shift reagents have been developed in order to facilitate rapid identification of specific functionalities within a complex mixture of peptides. Lanthanide chelating labels provide great flexibility and can be used for relative quantitation experiments, as well as IM-MS shift reagents when analyzed using ion mobility instrumentation. Evaluation of optimum labeling strategies and limitations were explored and complex samples were analyzed for the application of these shift reagents to analysis of complex mixtures of peptides. Furthermore, progress toward developing shift reagents for use in labeling other functionalities is briefly outlined.Files
